Terms and Conditions

- 100% course attendance is required in order to successfully complete the course;
- The awarding body, Highfield, requires a photo ID for each delegate. Please ensure that the delegates bring these with them on the day the training commences;
- All courses will be presented in English and delegates must possess sufficient communication skills to attend to the assessment requirements of the qualification;
- Courses may be recorded for quality assurance purposes as required by the awarding body, but these recordings will be kept confidential by the awarding body. The courses are accredited and regulated, so the purpose of the recording is to provide evidence that the required guidelines and standards for the courses are being adhered to. By attending the courses, you agree to be recorded for quality assurance purposes;
- OHS Compliance (OHSC) are members of an awarding body and are authorised to deliver accredited courses. The awarding body issues the certificates to ourselves and we then forward these e-certificates to each learner or the client representative by email within 10 days after completing the course, once full payment has been received. Accredited course certificates will have an OFQUAL logo, indicating that the course is an Ofqual-regulated course;
- Should a client wish to proceed with training or accepting a training quotation, please complete the required client information on the quotation and email the information or quotation back to OHSC. This will constitute a binding contract between the client and OHSC subject to these terms and conditions;
- On receiving approval to proceed with training, an invoice will be forwarded for payment;
- The full invoice amount must be paid immediately in order to secure your booking and the proof of payment e-mailed to helen@ohscompliance.co.uk. OHSC may in its sole discretion cancel training if payment of the invoice is not made;
- If a course is arranged, quoted, approved and invoiced then the initial invoice must be honoured and paid in full, irrespective if a smaller number of learners actually attend or should no learner attend. The arrangements, transaction, costing and invoice have been pre-agreed upon by the client and OHSC has no control over the client’s learners attending;
- There are no refunds or rescheduling if a learner or client does not arrive to the pre-arranged confirmed training course. Payment for a scheduled course will not be transferable to another date or course;
- If an invoice is not paid within a 30-day period, then the outstanding amount will automatically gain interest at the prevailing prime rate of interest, which is compounded monthly until the outstanding amount is paid in full;
- If it is agreed by the client and OHSC on an official signed company or department order that a course will be delivered, then that original and agreed upon order and corresponding invoice must be paid in full on course completion. If the invoice is not paid within a 30-day period, then the outstanding invoice amount will automatically gain interest at the prevailing prime rate of interest, which is compounded monthly until the outstanding amount is paid in full;
- Should a client or delegate need to reschedule a booked course to another date, a written email notification must be received by OHSC at least 15 working days (3 weeks) before the start date of the booked course;
- Once a course booking has been paid for and confirmed there will be no client refunds, however rescheduling the course date will be possible;
- A course booking that has been rescheduled once will not be eligible for another (second) rescheduling, regardless of when the second notice to cancel or reschedule was received;
- Any course rescheduling may be processed by OHSC in its sole discretion 5 working days prior to the course commencing;
- If the client’s premises are within the central London Congestion Zone or the Ultra-Low Carbon Emission zone, then these additional charges will be added and applied to the cost of the training at the client’s premises;
- Any additional client travel and accommodation costs will be discussed directly with the client for all long-distance travel training arrangements. The agreed additional travel and accommodation cost will be added to the training cost;
- OHSC shall use its best endeavours to provide our services in accordance with applicable laws, good order, correctly and timeously but does not warrant that it shall do so, or that the client shall not incur any loss or damages. The client waives any claims it may have against OHSC and indemnifies and holds it harmless against all liabilities arising out of the provision of services
